FAMILY SUPPORT

The Family Support program assists urban Indigenous clients involved with the B.C. Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD), focusing on families at risk of separation.

Our Family Support worker participates in: ​

• MCFD intake meetings

• Family Court sessions

• Family group conferences

• Legal mediations 

​

Our Family Support worker provides: 

• Emotional support

• Transportation

• In-house referrals to OFC's programs

• Referrals to community support programs

​

Our commitment is ongoing, ensuring our clients receive continuous guidance to understand and meet court conditions and MCFD requirements. Our ultimate goal is to support family reunification or to maintain the integrity of the family unit.
